21st Century Architecture
Architecture is the combination of art and science. Since the 1980s the majority of scientists have been aware that the world is in the midst of global warming from carbon emissions. It is now very obvious in so many ways that this is true and human kind needs to act now.
In the developed world 50% of primary energy is used to make electricity and run buildings along with creating the energy needed for manufacture of materials and systems for these buildings and associated infrastructure.
Over half of these emissions can be reduced by high performance Ecologically Sustainable Development projects and retrofitting of the existing building stock to achieve a 30% emissions drop.
